Style Tips List

used on a Style Tips post

This post lists affordable and practical style tips I’ve learned up over the years. None of the links in this post are sponsored or affiliate links. Just sharing what I use and like.

Shopping

  • Track your favorite items and brands, then wait for sales to buy at a discount. I keep a list on my phone of brands and items I want, along with each company’s annual sale schedule. I set reminders to check once a year so I can avoid paying full price for higher-ticket purchases.
  • Keep a running list of gift ideas and past purchases for people in a spreadsheet. When birthdays, holidays, or events come up, you’re not scrambling or repeating presents.
  • Always check the return policy before ordering… clearance and sale items are often final sale.

Bottoms

Tights

  • If you have long nails, wear gloves or socks on your hands to avoid snagging your tights when pulling them up.

Bags

  • I duplicate my essentials across every bag I use, so I never have to move items around or worry about forgetting something. It can get pricey if you use high-end products or have a lot of bags, but I stick to affordable basics. If the bag is large enough, I keep everything in a small pouch; if not, I store items loose. My essentials:

Outerwear

  • Ensure all gloves are touchscreen-compatible. Removing them in a hurry is impractical.
  • Store a pair of gloves in each coat to avoid losing them when switching jackets. This way you’re never caught without gloves.

Skin care

Self tan

My setting is clear level 2 on VersaSpa spray tan. If self tanning, I follow this:

  1. Moisturize
  2. Shave or exfoliate with cloth where needed
  3. Apply self-tanner: 2 pumps per limb with applicator. If applying solo, use back applicator.
  4. Use makeup brush for face, hands, and feet.
  5. After care: Use tanning drops on face (fades fastest)

Nails

  • I try to do my nails every two weeks.
